About Me & This Blog
I'm Josh, the kiddo in the middle. This was taken when I turned 20 (April 2020). By then, I was already hell-bent on pursuing self-improvement. To give more context, I was fully-entrenched in the excessively competitive education system in Singapore. I had a strong desire to succeed and to find meaning. All my life as a student, I had believed that excelling academically seemed like the only answer.
Having to serve my mandatory National Service (Jan 2019 - Nov 2020) was absolutely monumental for me. Not in the sense that I could display my patriotism, but in the fact that I had managed to finally step back and reflect. After 12 years of grueling national examinations and general pressures of school, I realized that I had been lacking in many areas of life, having been so fixated on studies.
So here I am, wholly committed to the pursuit of happiness and success which I believe I can attain by improving aspects of life that I have neglected, and building on my passions. In order to do so, I believe it is integral for me to endow myself with valuable knowledge. Hence, this blog: what better way to document my journey!

I hope that this blog will act as a bank of knowledge for myself and others. From which knowledge is drawn and also deposited. Topics will range from personal finance to self-help books, and even just my miscellaneous interests like movies. I am by no means an expert on anything, but I hope that the content will add value to you, the reader.
