1. When speaking, do not rush, place emphasis on important words & use pauses to hold attention.
Overuse of filler words can make you seem fearful / afraid that you won't get to finish your thoughts if not for the filler words. Removing fear of getting cut off / not getting interest --> naturally speak with more presence.
2. Do not allow others to derail from your important sayings.
First time of interruption, use unfazed delivery. Call it out (not shout it out) on multiple cutoffs like "Hold up man, hold on a second, wait let me finish" be calm. Alternatively, pause then agree with them and continue your thoughts.
3. Share your honest thoughts, even if people might not like them
3 areas where proactive honesty leads to respect: your motivations for doing things (do not be try-hard, e.g. say you work hard for money), call out for those with bad behaviour, share your opinion on passionate topics.
4. Be interested in the truth rather than focus on confirmation bias
